This is standard boilerplate provided as a starting point. Have your counsel review and finalize it before launch.

Overview

Verbose provides an agentic customer-experience platform that holds two-way conversations over SMS and voice on behalf of our business customers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to our marketing site and platform; it does not override any separate agreement between Verbose and a business customer.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & contact data — name, work email, company, phone number, and role, provided when you request a demo or create an account.
  • Conversation content — the SMS and voice messages, transcripts, and metadata processed on behalf of our business customers, who determine how that content is used.
  • Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser and device information, and analytics events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How we use information

We use information to operate and provide the service; route, respond to, and analyze conversations for our customers; secure the platform and prevent abuse; communicate with you about demos, support, and updates; and meet legal, regulatory, and carrier (10DLC) compliance obligations — including opt-out and suppression handling.

Messaging, consent & opt-out

Where Verbose sends messages on a customer's behalf, that customer is responsible for obtaining any legally required consent. Recipients can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP (or a similar keyword); opt-outs are honored and suppressed automatically. Standard message and data rates may apply.

How we share information

We share information with service providers and subprocessors (for example, cloud hosting, telephony/SMS carriers, and analytics) who act on our instructions; with the business customer on whose behalf conversations occur; and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. Business customers may configure retention for the conversation data they control, subject to their agreement with us.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards — including multi-tenant isolation, role-based access control, and scoped, revocable API keys with signed webhooks — designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices & rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. For conversation data controlled by a business customer, we will refer requests to that customer. To exercise a right regarding data we control, contact us using the details below.

International transfers

We may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
